Opinan is a small coastal crofting community on the Redpoint peninsula, just south of Gairloch.

It is located along the scenic coast road edging the Inner Sound and Northern Minch, with panoramic views towards to Isles of Skye, Rona, Harris, Lewis and the Shiant Isles. After leaving the main road south of Gairloch, the single track road passes along the shore of Loch Shieldaig, then skirts the beautiful edge of Badachro Bay, the old fishing/crofting community of Port Henderson and eventually reaches the spectacular bay of Opinan.
